Working with an "Apple-Flavored" Wiki

Do you or your students want to create rich content without any special technical knowledge using just a computer and an Internet connection? In this class you will learn how to use Apple’s wiki server to create a collaborative online experience for classroom discussion, to aggregate web resources, to build new knowledge.

Classroom Uses
- E-Portfolios- students select examples of their work and share with their teacher, parents and if appropriate other students
- Vocabulary- students collaborate to define and utilize words using multimedia in an subject area - http://mrsibrahim.wikispaces.com/Math
- Collaborative Understanding of Music Styles- post information about various music styles and have students post audio clips that show how that media clip relates to that style of music. This could also be used for students studying periods of art.
- Literature Circles- students respond to the book they are reading and respond to other students' posts
- Group Projects -students can use the wiki to brainstorm ideas, share resources, organize and plan
