Creating Enhanced Presentations in the Elementary School with Pixie2
Wednesday, August 18 • 12:30 - 3:30 PM
Fred Koch
This past school year all elementary schools were introduced to Pixie2, a fun and creative multi-media program from Tech4Learning.com. Students at all levels enjoyed working with Pixie2 in the computer labs and teachers were amazed at the ease in which projects could be created, exported and shared. Fred Koch (who received an Innovative Educator Award in May 2010 from Tech4Learning.com) will introduce the vast library of curriculum connections that Pixie2 offers, as well as give participants plenty of time to explore the creative side of this exciting program.

Wixie - The Online Version of Pixie
Click here to go to the Wixie site.
From the Wixie web site:
"Wixie is an online authoring tool students can use to construct knowledge and communicate ideas. Today’s learners need a tool that is accessible whenever and wherever they are ready to learn! Students can use Wixie’s paint tools, text options, clip art, and voice recording to develop online storybooks and Flash animations, building essential 21st century skills."
Note: When I first went to Wixie, I received a message stating that I needed to update my Adobe Flash player to use Wixie. This is not a problem - just agree to upgrade and they will walk you through the steps.
